About Us

A school is an educational institute desined to provide learning spaces and learning environments for teaching of students under the direction of teachers. With the dawn of democracy in Nepal in 1950, there came awakening of the needs for education. The necessity for literacy and the spread of education all over the country; particularly in the periphery area of Dibrung, has been keenly felt by local community. Eventually it was founded in 2018 BS and began as a elementary school. In 2022 BS the school received primary school status under Yam Prasad Kharel as head master. Located just north-east of Tamghas , Gulmi, Sharada School constructed on the stone and hay building in 2026 BS and became a quality, independent education that focused on engaging and active learning, a commitment to the environment, and dedication to the school and local communities.

Wanting to develope higher education, in 2042 BS, Sharada was granted authorization to offer lower secondary level education. Gradually the school expanded until in 2041 it was awarded high school status. The first SLC(School Leaving Certificate) batch wrote their examination in Chaitra 2056 BS. A shortage of facilities made teaching difficult and there followed a struggle between the school and the Government of Nepal to obtain more classrooms. Eventually construction began on a new school in 2053 BS and in 2065 BS the High School moved to its present home. In 2068 BS, the school was authorized to offer the +2 Programme for grades of eleven and twelve. In 2069 BS, the school became an accredited member of the (HISTUN) . We had also grown to offer all grades, from kindergarden through grade 12. We also defined our four pillars, which include academic excellence, community and service, leadership by example and outdoor education. Moving forward, the pillars helped ensure that students at every grade had opportunities to flourish and grow. Throughout our history, the school community has remained committed to creating an environment in which students are known, supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow.

We were also the recipient of the District Level Award in 2067 B.S. ,in recognition of our academic achivement; reflecting our commitment to provide pragmatic and quality education. After 2069 BS, we opened our dormitory and has been running as boarding students in grades 5,8,10 (on the last phase of academic year) for enhancing thier academic excellence and to achieve remarkable position in thier final examination.

Sharada currently boasts excellent facilities including a Dhan-Yog center(Meditation class), two netball(volleyball) courts along with children playground and a beautiful garden, a well-eqipped computer centre and science lab, sophisticated library and e-learning centre; The students publish"Monthly Wall Paper" in which the students compose poems, short stories, news and draw the pictures; these being just some of more recent additions to the school. We also conduct phase wise programme to choose student of year called "Sharada Tara" each year since 2073 B.S. From its humble beginnings in 2022 from cottage house, Sharada Secondary School has grown in stature to where it is now regarded as leader academic, sporting and cultural affairs.
