With the dawn of democracy in Nepal in 1950, there came awakening of the needs for education. The necessity for literacy and the spread of education all over the country; particularly in the periphery area of Dibrung, has been keenly felt by local community. Eventually it was founded in 2022 and began as a elementary school. In 2026 the school received primary school status under Yam Prasad Kharel as head master. Located just north-east of Tamghas , Gulmi, Sharada School constructed on the stone and hay building in 1907 and became a quality, independent education that focused on engaging and active learning, a commitment to the environment, and dedication to the school and local communities.
Wanting to develope higher education, in 2027, Sharada was granted authorization to offer lower secondary level education. Gradually the school expanded until in 2041 it was awarded high school status. The first SLC(School Leaving Certificate) batch wrote their examination in Chaitra 2042. A shortage of facilities made teaching difficult and there followed a struggle between the school and the Government of Nepal to obtain more classrooms. Eventually construction began on a new schoolin 2053 and in 2065 the High School moved to its present home. In 2004, the school was authorized to offer the +2 Programme for grades of eleven and twelve. In 2068, the school became an accredited member of the (HISTUN) . We had also grown to offer all grades, from kindergarden through grade 12. We also defined our four pillars, which include academic excellence, communityand service, leadership by example and outdoor education. Moving forward, the pillars helped ensure that students at every grade had opportunities to flourish and grow. Throughout our history, the school community has remained committed to creating an environment in which students are known, supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow.
